Oh great - oh to be a protestor!
In response to an email to the National Park I got this in response:
"Environment Act 1995 - Determination of scheme of conditions
Stancliffe Stone Co Ltd - Lees Cross/Endcliffe quarries
Application NP/DDD/299/82
Thank you for your letter of 7 October 2002.
Under the circumstances your request to extend the determination date for the Environment Act submission covering Lees Cross /Endcliffe quarries from 30 November 2002 to the 31 May 2003 is agreed. The additional period of time will allow for full consideration of the options available to take
place (i.e. pursue determination of the Environment Act submission, or exchange permitted areas of working or compensation/revocation of the Lees
Cross/Endcliffe permission or a combination of these options) as well as further time to review the additional environmental information and take
account of this in the environment act submission.
A copy of your letter and this response has been forwarded to those parties involved in the discussions about quarrying in the locality, for
information."
Will this ever end!
Regards
Grendel
