Hi Stu

Please excuse my ignorance but I've just come across this site while planning a trip to my local Peak District to take in some of the more obscure sights. (Unfortunately I'm guilty of sticking to the show sites like 9 stones, doll tor, stanton moor, arbor low to satisfy the patience of a bored girlfriend!)

Anyway I digress, you mention in your fieldnotes of 2006 that the stone was underthreat form an extension of the quarry and I wondered if you could confirm if it is still there or not?

Also as you seem like one of the local experts on the area in your opinion are there any other must sees on a single day trip? I was thinking Gardoms Edge, Carl Walk but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers in advance
