Just had an email from Stan Beckensall...

"Hexham, Friday.

BBC Radio Four is broadcasting a programme from Northumberland on Prehistoric Rock-art in which Dr Aron Mazel and I talk with them about panels of rock art and an excavated cairn on Weetwood Moor. This was recorded a few days ago, and they have chosen it to start their series on ‘Making History’ next Tuesday, October 2nd, at 3pm.
They became interested when they contacted the Beckensall Northumberland Archive website (Newcastle University) and learnt of our Channel Four ICT Television British Archaeology Award at the end of last year.
By coincidence, this is also the day when I am talking about my new book on Hexham at the Queen’s Hall, Hexham library at 7.30 that evening.
