Anybody know of any sites that they would like to visit but they are just to hard to reach or get to?
For instance top of mountians or on islands etc?
Obviously wont have links to them if you havent been!

There is a standing stone on in island in the middle of Lough Derg (the one in the midlands) that id like to visit as a starter.

Im feeling kinda brave.......

There's a little four poster on a tidal island on the Beara, between Lauragh and Ardgroom I think which I've checked out a few times now but still can't see a way across at low tide. The easiest way seems to be from the west but there's building work going on. Signs up on the gate imply you may be shot, mutilated and recycled as crow feed if you attempt to cross the narrow sliver of land.

Hi Bawn

I don't know about unreachables, but I have an irritating tendency to take the most awkward, hazardous route possible - always discovered with hindsight. Oh, so there was a gate just over there. Wince. That kind of thing.

Hello,

Coming over from the "Unsung".

I don't know how well known are the tunnels starting at Glencolumcille.

There's a few islands off Sligo around Inishowen that I'd love to get to with early Christian settlements on and beautiful cross-slabs.

The rock-cut passage tomb at the top of Croaghan (I think) in Sligo is a bit of a bitch to get up to.

Like Ken, I'd love to get to that four-poster.

I've done quite a few that involve a 3 mile hike up a hill to get to, and like bawn79 I too usually go via the worst route possible!
