Maumbury Rings and lost standing stones

Does anyone have any info on the five standing stones to the west of Maumbury Rings Dorchester . They were marked on the 1890 OS map .

I see the more modern housing is laid out on the same axis - they were on a nice straight line. Is it not possible they were the stones for marking the ends of strips of fields. Course, they could have been prehistoric couldn't they.
