I was privileged to have inside knowledge of this discovery from the start, it's been discussed on the Avebury forum a while now without people feeling the need to cash in on it, very few other people were privvy to this info, it's despicable and totally treacherous it's been leaked, this could be the biggest set back in Wiltshire archeao history in living memory and have massive implications for future funding unless the judas is going to step in and replace it, you are aren't you.
The one who leaked it (you know who you are) should hang his head in shame.
why couldn't you have kept your mouth shut for a little while longer and let the paymasters have their day.
You know this could have only lead to more discovery of our beloved landscape.
I hope the 10 pieces of silver serve you well.
I truly hope the stigma when this becomes common knowledge burns in you for eternity like the cold concrete wall of funding we now face burns deep into the skin of history and discovery.
You know where to contact me and have your legal team pursue this if you care to, bring it on.

That really is bad form.

I see a swathe of Cod Ladybird book of Archaeology in the Mail, and a helpful image of Stonehenge to remind readers what it looks like.

Calm down dear, it's only prehistoric archaeology and most people in the country don't give a monkey's. You'll give yourself an coronary.

Well it's International news now.

If this was actually leaked by someone then it's a shame to be sure, but... this article is so awful I can't help but wonder what was actually leaked. The graphics don't match what was actually in this year's trenches (even the avenue is a 'path'), and they haven't even got Mikes theory right (Woodhenge up there in the corner of the map). It almost sounds as if someone overheard a guy in a pub, phoned round a few archaeologists for some quotes and hotchpotched a story together. Half of it isn't even about the new henge.

I assume this has something to do with story I heard on the Radio 5 news. That's sad!

Well it does'nt seem to be all under wraps, MPP seems to be giving a lecture next week at Wiltshire Heritage Museum to members of the museum on the subject of the excavation, so............. presumably Bluehenge will have to be mentioned now, if it was'nt already going to be talked about anyway, methinks there is a bit of elitism going on here!
