I'm expecting someone suggesting moving Stonehenge to London, to put it on display during the Olympic Games.

Not at all happy with tying in the Stonehenge 'solution' with the Olympic 'party'. Stonehenge deserves far more than that.

Imagine, fifty years hence, people saying, "Look, this is the Visitors' Centre - bunged up in less than three years for the thousands of people who came to this country for the 2012 Olympics." rather than, "Look, this is the Stonehenge Visitor's Centre and careful landscaping of the area that our unique World Heritage Site so deserved and was so hard won by those who really cared for it."

Yet again English Heritage, and associated authorities, history will judge you on this.

Good to see someone with a bit of sense putting Heritage Action's proposals for An Achievable Stonehenge forward as a valid alternative to English Heritage's 'projects' for the structure - http://www.juicygeography.co.uk/stonehenge.htm
