Woohoo! Through some accidental emotional blackmail I'm off for a second and final trip (for the time being) to the Lakes this saturday! Now I saw quite a few show sites 2 1/2 weeks ago (swinside, castlerigg, longmeg, mayburgh/arthur's & greycroft) so I'd like to see 'the best of the rest' this time especially as I'll probbly not be this way again for a few years :-/

Here is my possible agenda:

i) Casterton
ii) Druid's Circle of Ulverston & Skelmore Heads
iii) Giants Grave & Lacra
[Blakely Raise]
iv) Langdale and/or Copt Howe
v) Gamelands
vi) Gunnerkeld
[Moor Divock]
[little meg]

One in square brackets are possibles and I may do it in reverse order to see the sunset from the Druids Circle. I'm also considering adding:
- White Moss & Brats Hill
- Oddendale
- Iron Hill

Have I missed anything I _must_ see? Any [] sites that are essential?

Yes! Casterton! Go there first, if you can. It blew us away last Saturday.
Lacra was good, but involved a longish uphill walk :-( Giants grave is thrilling.
And Druids Circle at Ulverston will be fab at the end of the day. Good idea.

Well, its done. I saw 10 circles, 2 henges, a chambered cairn (I think) and some rock art. 9 of the circles b4 midday but then I slowed down as sleep deprivation kicked in.

Rocknicker? I have a possible scraper I found for you (as you asked :)!
(and a much larger weird thing I'm keeping for myself *evil laugh*)
