I must say - and I've had nothing to do with this - that this is superb!

Absolutely brilliant - well done you lot!

very nice - thanks Jane!

That made for an interesting read. Anything rather than work. Bring on Easter!

Good stuff! And the Longstones Long Barrow - wow!

"Enjoy!"

I did!

Big things to all involved.

The moon will set behind Silbury Hill as seen from the Sanctuary at about midnight on the night of March 31 and April first morning. This lunar maximum event hasn't been witnessed along this azimuth for several thousand years - would make a good feature possibly, if it's fine and clear weather. Could work out the times and dates more closely if there's interest. (There's nothing like it).

Shame that only one half of the story is told........but you're only interested in one side though aren't you? But all you appear to be interested in is confontation, not solutions.

Congratulations to all concerned in producing the Avebury Journal. I have to confess that I might not have read it as closely as I have done if not for the enormous forum mail generated. So it may be that sbp has made a useful contribution. I've searched and searched, but I just cannot find anything one sided or contoversial contained therein. Concrete cancer? No. Climbing on stones? Surely not. BT digging unauthorised holes? Hardly. I give up and look forward to further news.

What's this your peddling Jane ?

Blimey, I hope our other big new feature on HA (to launch very, VERY soon) gets this much 'publicity'!!

well done all involved.
(((Regards YaLi)))

Blimy It's taken me ages to trawl through this thread.

Reading the TAJ my only concern is over the climbing on stones issue, advising people to 'challenge them and ask them to get off' could lead to argument and at worst, a scuffle. Might be better to advise folks to politely inform the offenders what kind of damage that 'people' (without directly referring to the person involved) might be doing to the stones and lichens by climbing on them – educate them!
If that still doesn't work then of course a punch in the gob is always a viable option ;-)

Anyways, the HA site is a credit to all involved – keep up the good work folks!
