Following on from MPP's talk, it has relit my passion for Marden Henge and it's possible links with Avebury and Stonehenge and also possible routes across Salisbury Plain.

Does anyone know of any previous investigations into the above as I'd love to find out more?

I spent a great day back in the summer with a man called Pete Glastonbury who just enjoys showing the archaeological wonders of Avebury and Stonehenge to anyone geniunely interested. He stopped at Marden on the way back and showed me where the large 'Silbury like' barrow had been along with other significant bits of the landscape.
You may have met him at the MPP dig because he was there on a frequent basis and is something of an expert on the area. He doesn't post here any longer but you can find him on Facebook, he lives locally in Devizes and I know he would be pleased to talk to you.

EH are excavating the henge next year.
