Strumble Head has quite a few tombs. They are grouped under Fishguard tombs, and it states in the book,(Neolithic Sites...of Cards,Carm,Pemb) That they are "small, hidden and unobtrusive monuments" Facing out to sea and St.David's Head. St. Davids head also has a celtic field system on the plateau under the St.David portal tomb. These fields are roughly square, and can be traced by the stones that push up through the vegetation. Earliest neolithic settlement, Clegyr Boia is here also. So I reckon Strumble Head, is also pretty early, and that it is a field system, (there's another in the background). Of course it could be something else.........................
