Last time this happened with Uffington I got a good quote out of the Countryside Alliance unequivocally condemning the action. This looks like the work of the
*Real* Countryside Alliance or groups that ally themselves closely with their viewpoint.

As they authorities are looking for witnesses we must all be vigilant and watch the monuments - English Heritage can only prosecute if they have witnesses.
