I'm walking the good parts of the Ridgeway on 3-5 August, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on camping along the way.

Most of time will be spent around the Avebury/Uffington areas, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've walked from Wayland's Smithy/Uffington to Avebury along the Ridgeway and camped under clusters of trees and no one said anything. I doubt very much that it's "officially" ok, but I didn't experience any problems. Hope you have a good time.
