You know I was once in a campsite bar in Carnac and overheard some bloke gowing on about he and his 'jack-the-lad' mates had set off loads of fireworks (LOADS of fireworks) on top of Silbury not long before the top fell in.
To this day I regret putting my job security infront of taking the fucker out with the rather heavy two-pint glass I was holding at the time...
As for the abseiling eejits getting awards, maybe the sparkly lights went to the judges heads too...

have a great idea pete! when they re-erect the stones at stanton harcourt, maybe the dutch dicks could be persuaded to stand close by clutching their awards and then whoops,kersplat in they go..to be dug up several thousand years from now just like the barber!!
ps.. whatever happened about silbury losing its protected status? love liss x

I've just noticed that www.fsf.nl no longer has the page and news of Berts award and Berts page has also taken it down.
Did they actualy take note and take the award away from him?
lets hope so.
I'm still going to give him his very own UK award :)

Belatedly read the news. I am saddened by these events at Silbury Hill.
I support the outrage against the irresponsible and stupid behaviour. Thanks Pete G for bringing it to our attention.
