We were on the hill at the weekend and noticed this circular shaped formation on google afterwards. Is this one of the two ruined circles mentioned on the 1925 map?

I think TSC got it right . No sign of anything on the 1924 1:2500 map map at that point .

I only know of two 'possible' stone circles outside of Avebury, namely Harestonedown and Langdean - both quite a way from Overton Hill. The circle in the link looks more like an old crop circle.

Edit: I think that's what tsc (and Tiompan) said - sorry to be repetitive.
