anyone know which of the avebury stones have always been upright (as opposed to the ones which have been rescued from pits/pieced together).

can't quite put my finger on why I want to know, but I do.

Yeah I know. I'll have to think about it a bit to get it right but it's something like this.
All the Kennet avenue stones were down before keiller arrived.
(Except stone 4b the first of the avenue stones in the avenue field)
Stones 1 & 98 (Devil's chair and the stone next to it) were standing.
3 stones of the southern inner circle were standing.
The cove was standing, the Swindon stone (Stone 46 - diamond shaped near the road north of avebury) stone 50 (right hand side of the Swindon stone in the N-E quater)
In the South West one stone stood (stone 12)
I 'Think' that's it, but I may be wrong because I've drunk loads of beer tonight :)
