Just a quick word to say that the Avebury Community Shop will be celebrating it's first years trading next month.

If you need anymore info, see the website below or contact the shop manager - Wendy Gallop - on 01672 539200

The shop opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday; 9.30am to 3.30pm Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays.

The Post Office outreach service operates Monday 9am – 12 noon; Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 2pm – 5pm.

It means little or nothing in reality but i'm proud i bought a "share" in the shop, well done all others who did and a big thanks to all the people who gave and still give their precious time to this worthy venture.
The village has a heart due to you.

Is it only a year? Seems a lot longer! Very pleased they've made it work, and so successfully.

Not having a shop in Avebury would have been awful for the villagers, and a missed opportunity cos of the millions of visitors Avebury has every year! The staff are always friendly. It's a pleasure to shop there, knowing the money's going toward sustaining a better life for the locals. And being somewhere convenient for me to buy crisps and pop. :)
