Avebury, what's left to do?

Littlestone's remark about sending the 'stone erectors' to Avebury got me thinking. 'What is there left to do?'.
There's stones by the beech tree roots that weren't erected, because of the onset of the war, right? What about those stones they found under the earth? There was supposed to have been a map of where they were found in the visitor's center at the barn, but I've never seen one. Any news on this? I've looked for it most times I've visited, but to no avail.

i have a 'fair copy' plan of the buried stones' location - i'm at and will gladly forward copies to anyone interested

it's high time Avebury was restored now, megalith restorations are taking place up and down the British Isles, whilst 2/3 of this this premier neolithic site, is left in buried neglect - sat on (quite literally) by both the National Trust and English Heritage - this is the shame of British archaeology

I am not sure of the extent of the accident or exactly where it occured but hope nobody has been seriously hurt. However when Rex, Chance and I were crossing the roads around Avebury at the megameet the other day, it did strike me that the traffic running through the Henge/Village did so at a such a pace that sometimes you felt you were putting your life at risk.

If there was a serious accident on this short stretch would it be possible for not only people to be hurt but also damage to the henge and stones themselves?
It would be nice to get hte speed down to the current limit of 30mph if not 20 (just inside the henge though)

Should some sort of speed control be put into place to slow or regulate the traffic such as speed ramps or dare I say it ...speed cameras?

What do you guys think?
