Southampton, apart from the odd hillfort and tumuli, is pretty neolithically spartan, despite it's otherwise rich histories of other eras...

Recently, however, I've noticed the council seem to be putting attractive stone blocks - some standing, some recumbent - about the place.

It's really nice on my walk in to work each morning to pass various statues, water troughs, memorials, and so on, and as I get closer to the city centre, these mini-modern-megaliths! The stones haven't been made to look old or owt, but they definitely look as though they're meant to be standing stones... I should really take some pics and link to them from here so people can see what I mean!

Just thought I'd share that with you!
