ive only just discovered the American mound builders. it does seem amazing that there were so many, and so many ruined only just recently.
maybe.. just maybe the mound builders and Silbury hill have something in common? though they might be seperated by 100s of years.

also while watching a gangster film recently and watching them dispose of the wepons in the sea, it got me thinking. maybe thats what people were doing in the old days, not placing things in rivers, chucking them in so they didnt get caught with the weapon...... though again probably not.

That idea is as valid as any other because it's all speculation!

It seems to be a universal .

Not all the American mounds were later than European examples . Although not nearly as big , the mounds at Watson Brake predate Silbury by a millenium .
