Mound Near M5

close

Just north of J4 on the M5 there is a mound with trees on it in a field. It looks rather out of place as though it is man made either a tumulaus (a bit big) or a motte. However it's not marked on the OS map SO966766

Anyone seen it or got any ideas?

Yes, I've spent two afternoons round it but the ruddy thing doesn't seem to be kosher, it just looks incredibly like it ought to be!

Nothing showing on the E.H. site.

Shows up real nice in google earth

Think it's just debris from building the motorway, if you notice, the motorway runs through a 'cut' just below it. Have said to my missus on numerous occasions walking around Waseley Hills Country Park how it looks ancient, but further searches have amounted to nothing.
The crown of beech trees doesn't help, almost looks like one of those Avebury 'hedgehogs'.
