Reading through the rock art section i noticed this -

"A research project, funded by English Heritage is being carried out by professor Timothy Darvill, head of archaeology at Bournemouth university and professor Peter Ucko from London universities institute of archaeology.
The results of this research will be a gazetteer of every design in the country on cd-rom."

Did this go ahead. ?
Anyone. ?

rock art section ?
I dunno anything about it but Peter Ucko died a couple of years ago so seems a bit unlikely . BRAC is as good as we have for the moment .As soon as a DVD was done it would be out of date but it would be good .

I’d guess from Bournemouth Uni, Tim, Peter and EH they’re referring to the Rock Art Pilot Project, which is knocking on 10yrs old now: http://eprints.bournemouth.ac.uk/9602/ 300+ pages of sheer unadulterated joy :-P Whether a CD was produced I haven’t the foggiest.
