Further Reading ?

My interest in Celtic Culture introduced me to the excellent works of Anne Ross, and John and Caitlin Mathews in particular. This in turn has led me to a deeper interest in all thinks Megalith etc. I have The Modern Antiquarian/Megalithic European, and I am currently reading the wonderful Megalothomania which I recently bought on one of my regular trips to Glastonbury ( luckily only up the road ). I am particularly interested in theories re. oriental/occidental links etc. I would really appreciate any suggestions as to further reading and any recommendations in general.

Anything by John Michel, Prof. A Thom and P V Glob will keep you going for a couple of years.

Robin Heath has some interesting books out, good simple explanations too. you'll find him in the wooden books series and on amazon.

I'd recommend Miranda Green, she's written a lot about the 'celts', but her book 'Symbol and Image in Celtic Religious Art' will introduce you to a much broader interpretation of native gods/goddesses...

And for visuality the Gundestrup Cauldron is a good source of material....

If you looking for connections and food for thought, I'd check Barry Cunliffes most excellent books, Facing the Oceans, and the superb follow-up Europe between the Oceans 9000Bc - 1000AD.
