Firstly can I campaign to change the name. Stanton Stone Circle would be better. The Church tended to disapprove of standing stones so encouraged the association with devils. Lets not propogate that one. All the information here seems to be a couple of years old. I went out there in April 08 and asked one of the chaps at the Recycling Centre about it and he took me over in his van so I could get photographs. There is about 9 stones errected at the moment and there will be about 30 when it is finished. The chap seemed confident it would be completed by the end of the Summer. It looks wonderful already, I cant wait. I could put the picture up on the site ( if I knew how)
