Does anyone know if the 'Modern Antiquarian' film was ever released on DVD? I have it on knackered old VHS (recorded from TV), and would like to own it an original copy.

Nope and we seem to spend quite a bit of time on here wishing that it was. But...until it is buy Standing with Stones (see link) which is just fabulous. I have watched it every night since I bought it and still want to watch it again!

This works

Got it running on my PC now

Not put it on a disk yet - but going to try that later today

I'll let you know if it works

Might be a bit late to add this post, i know there is no official dvd, but i know a few folks have a copy on dvd.

There is a (torrent) copy of an old VHS recording available on thebox.bz. The sound is pretty crappy though, unfortunately. As far as copyright goes, I believe that as long as you pay your tv licence you can watch any recording of BBC programs. In fact, the Beeb have been uploading loads of their programs onto the iPlayer recently and no licence is required to watch them.
