In my ignorance I'd never heard of the first horse (Sultan) even though it's the biggest figurative wotsit in this country. If you look on Google Earth proper, you can even see his horseshoe marks above him!

In fact I'd never heard of most of them to be honest, and I'm sure there are plenty more. Anyway I thought people might like it.

Thanks for that - the Barnsley crop circles confirm what was very strongly suspected - that the close GoogleMaps imagery is from August 2000. I can't see Barnsley getting crop circles in other years! But what about tents? Can anyone show their tent on this set of imagery?

That was smashing.

It explained a particular Australian thing that had had me wondering about it's age. Apparently it was 1998. Still impressive stuff.
