Hi Folks,
Looking for some early (pre 1800) references to prehistoric rock art, I ran into a piece of text stating "bassons" in a Druidical altar at Lynsfort on Inis Oen in North Britain.

I've tried all the search enigines but no clue on either Lynsfort or Inis Oen.
Have you ever heard of these places?
Cheers,
Jan

Linsfort is in Co. Donegal on the Inishowen peninsular. There's quite a bit of roack art up there.
