.. how here we are on the internet wot is like 21st century and technological and everything, and yet we're using it to help perpetuate interest in things and ideas which are old. I think it's rather good. (It's probably an obvious thought. But it was prompted by listening to a programme about the Saami and this woman was talking about the benefits of modern technology to her culture in a time when it's being really threatened.)
And another thing, the 'Notes and Queries' archive is just like an internet forum, but with longer between posts. People cast their query out into the country and someone would know the answer and reply. Really cool.
Right I'm off to be grumpy again now. This time of year sucks.
