Don't know if this has already been posted - a mate from home has given me some info on "Heritage Open Days" to be held at Durrington Walls/Woodhenge and Stonehenge cursus at the end of this month: amongst other things, they are looking for a possible "lost bluestone henge".
Digs are running between 20th August and 14th Sept - visitors welcome between 10am and 4pm except fridays and sat 2nd sept. "Open days" 26th, 27th, and 28th Aug, 9th and 10th Sept.

Last time I went back I was appalled at the development along the A303 - me and Ruth went for lunch with my mum and dad in a Harvester type place along there - would you believe they've named it "The Amesbury Archer"! What can you say?!
