Just to advise anyone travelling to Malta that they need to book up for the wonderful Hal Saflieni Hypogeum well in advance - basically as soon as you can - at least 2 months in advance.

I tried to book up a month before travelling and had no luck but wasn't too concerned as I was sure I could blag a place once I got there. I was wrong, despite going down to the National Musuem in Valleta and pleading my case there was no way I could get in. They are only letting 80 folk a day in.
Good news is that all of the other temples are open and looking extremely splendid.
