Equinox - Cork?

close

Anyone doing anything special for the equinox tomorrow? I'm heading for the hills, the Loughcrew hills that is, for tomorrow and Tuesday morning though weather looks rank.

Since I'm spending the mid-week in Cork, anyone know of any alignments apart from Bohonagh for the equinox for stone rows/circles? Come to think of it, I just took it for granted Bohonagh was aligned to sunrise but then I haven't seen that written down anywhere, anyone know for sure?

Cheers!

Ken

The weather's looking crappy isn't it. I'm quite happy really as we have some 'VIPs' at work and I couldn't get any days off early this week.

You'll not find many good equinox alignments in Cork. Everything is SW/NE down there. One interesting one could be Altar wedge tomb on a clear evening, because you could see the sun set behind Mizzen Head (sp)
