Hello from Ethiopia
I come from Wiltshire but work out here as an aid worker - 1 hour from Addis is a massive stone circle pre-christian and musilim
The stones have breats, and fallic rods are there as well as burial chambers and the circle.
I'm uploadng the photos tomorrow to my site which already has the Axum Stelae on the megalithic africa link.

You can also get my tunes free on there (demos) - my studio is out here - and info on a 3cd famine relief box set I am putting together with Merv from Eat Static including everyone from Robert Plant to Temple of Sound to Issa Bagayoga on it.
Please keep in touch on it and buy it when it is out.
Be nice to have Cope on it.
Cheers
Dan

Hi Dan & welcome

I've changed the thread title because I nearly didn't read it & thought others might avoid it too. You see, we've had several posters around here lately who have some very bizarre (to most of us) notions about megaliths etc & claim to have the answer to 'the riddles of the stones' and the like. (Often including invisible networks etc....)

Some of us have started avoiding posts that could be of this type... so, with the 'Stonehenge is in Ethiopia' heading, combined with your username (in particular if I'm honest)....

Anyway, I've come across (not first-hand, unfortunately) the stelae before - they're fascinating - and I for one look forward to seeing your shots of the burial chambers etc!

love

Hi Dan - there's something almost sniffably, tangibly ancient about East Africa, isn't there? Though I haven't been to Ethiopia (yet!) I feel strongly that there are likely to be many similarities between megalith building here in Europe and out there. Please show us some pictures so we can find out more!

What does you aid project do?

PS welcome to TMA!

Hello Dan, do you have any shots of the Ethiopian Obelisks?
