Oh dear

I guess it was bound to happen. I just hope this doesn't spark-off a treasure hunt.

I've just been outbid on a Neolithic flint arrowhead - it's gone up to 2.20. I've been buying bronze fragments which rarely collect a bid usually. The stuff - jade and silver jewelry, for instance - coming out of Tibet, via China and through ebaY is a flood.

I can't understand why anybody would but something like that! I've always imagined how nice, and what a thrill it would be, to just stumble across an arrowhead or axe or something myself!

Of course I'd take it straight to a museum. I've seen Indiana Jones - I know the crack...
