...And anyone else who wanders about up there!

I went up for a gentle prembulation this evening, just to get some (cold) air and say 'eyup' to the place. I noticed that someone's been cutting back the encroaching heather, (clean cuts, like secateurs), and leaving empty cans of pop.

Anyways, next time you're up there, walk 30 yards south'ish (straight sight-line for Cullingworth village) and have a look at the 'circle' of stones amidst the heather. The ground within is lower than the surrounding land.
Now, I know there's been a lot of quarrying up there, and it's likely this is a result of that... but I'd like your opinions nonetheless.

Cheers

Dave

I'll gerrup and have look sometime ovver t' next week.

Dave, I've got a pic of a supposed ring cairn on my Portal Gallery.

Is this the feature you spotted, cos from memory it kinda matches your description?

I'll go for a skeg up there, cos the bloody heather was about 25ft thick when I last went & it hindered my attempts to find the 2 other cairns up there. Lets hope they've been chopping near 'em too :-)

so, did the rendezvous happen then? the nation awaits with baited breath ;)
