The grass is always greener, or so the tedious cliche goes. After looking through FourWinds overseas tours this evening I've been inspired to catch the ferry and go back to my roots, if being 1/4 welsh constitutes a root.

The ferry from Dublin goes to Hollyhead if I recall, but maybe thats Rosslare? Anyway, with just one overnight stay, what could a reasonably swift tour of Wales from around Hollywood include? Hopefully the best bits aren't as scattered as they are in Ireland.

I've only just decided a few minutes ago so this is back of the envelope stuff but your recomendations and suggestions are most welcome. If anyone has spare time on their hands it would be great to get some local brains to pick too!

i spent three days here recently and used this http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/celynog/anglesey.htm
great direction with no maps makes the places very easy to find.

Obviously you've seen this http://www.megalithomania.com/show/trip/1

I did pages 1, 2 and 3 (apart from Dyffryn Ardudwy) in one day, but that's me :-)

I also did a separate trip to that one that I never wrote up, but will make the effort to do so soon.

I too would be interested in any tips.

Got a weekend around Bangor planned for start of October (bless travelodge and their deals!! )

If you're on Anglesey you could go here...
