Following my brief 'Shave your public Hare off' campaign, I was today contacted by the owner of the 'Bluebeckers' chain of restaurents regarding the over grown Hare Stone ... and apparently they've taken my campaign to heart and the offending shrubs are getting a serious hair cut!
Good news!
Clearly direct action of this nature works .... Hare today, gone tomorrow could well have been the case! Thankfully it looks more like 'Hare to stay'.

PS ... I tried to upload some pictures of the Hare .... and a little write up/location info thingamy ... but it wouldn't load ... another time hopefully!
It's at the cross roads of Old Reddings and Brooks Hill, outside the 'Pub formerly known as The Hare' and now a Bluebeckers just up from Harrow Weald, Middlesex.
There is a small article in the ladies about the stone ... that's it! It may be a fragment of the Sudbury Stone (Found at Sudbury Golf Club, near Wembley)
If anyone has any information on this site ... or others around Harrow-on-the-Hill it'd be very interesting ... The Venerable Bede refered to Harrow-on-the-Hill as a 'Pagan Stronghold' ....
