Zennor Quoit

Dolmen / Quoit / Cromlech

Zennor Quoit (Dolmen / Quoit / Cromlech) by A R Cane Nearly stepped on this delightful creature on the way up and met 2 of it's siblings minutes later. Has anyone else had encounters with snakes in their wanderings?

Yup! Snakes A R Cane! I slid down into a rather enclosed rock shelter just up the hill from Stronach Wood Rock Art carvings on the Isle of Arran last year. I very nearly slid onto an Adder basking on a tussock of grass. It was a biggie - at least three and half, probably four feet long. I very nearly translevitated. I posted the pic here

I've seen them many a time on my travels in Scotland but they are still a thrill to come across.

Great shot !
I've come across several on Dartmoor. One almost jumped as much as I startled it sunbathing by a small rock - I managed to get a photo before it disappeared though.
