Most of my uploads are taken using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7. Smallish point and shoot, set to idiot mode. Don't think they make it any more which is a shame as mine is getting a bit grumpy. The other photo you commented on of the Dun is taken using Mrs T's Canon PowerShot G7X |

I was hoping you were going to say something like that! Just goes to prove it's not the camera but the eye that makes a good shot. These are really nicely taken, great stuff. |

Thanks, that's kind. Me and Mrs T adopt a bit of a scattergun approach. If we take enough, one or two will hopefully turn out OK. |

| T, if your Lumix does die (hopefully not) the Lumix TZ series is a good little Panasonic compact, they have got very slightly bigger over the last 10 years but still pretty small, point and shoot or a little bit more control if you want it. I got mine 2nd hand reconditioned or whatever they call it, like new but half the money. |

| I didn't have a camera for years (decades probably). First proper digtal camera I got was a TZ3 about 10 years back. It's still my all time favourite. Built like a tank. I dropped it so many times but it just kept going. I like my LX7 but really miss the zoom on the TZ series. |

| I'm on my third TZ, I really like them. I still have the first one and take it on holiday as a backup, in fact I used it the other week at Herefordshire Beacon because it's all I had with me. I only upgraded because I wanted a little more in the way of options than it had. The second one died (it might be repairable but it was going to cost most than buying another). I'm now on a TZ60. The first one still feels the most solid and like you I dropped it a few times but it still works fine. |
