Yes I agree, that's what I thought. But it is the only "cup marked" stone inside the cairn. The summit cairn survey on the GAT website (link added below) does show a cup-marked stone with in the cairn with only one cup mark, and the size of this cup mark is correct.
What I wondered is if it was originally a cup mark that some one has added the lines to? I thought that might be a possibility. Just not sure.
Do trig marks have a line on top of the 3 lines rather than a circle?

Not a trig marker, the three lines would have to converge on a horizontal line for it to be usable. Kind of odd though. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
