| I was up at a site in NE Scotland today, and in the 4 months since I was last there, one of the 3ft stones has been very cleanly split in two (horizontally, along the bottom)! Does anyone know what might have caused this? Lightning maybe? It's not in an easily accessible place so I doubt very much someone went up there with the intention of breaking a huge stone in two.
