Bevisbury

Plateau Fort

Fieldnotes

Bevisbury was an Iron Age plateau fort on Hampshire's border with Wiltshire. This site is now greatly mutilated and overgrown. The southern ramparts are the best preserved. There are several pits that have been cut in to the site which were probably quarries, and a private house within the north east corner. ginger tt Posted by ginger tt
