Current Archaeology Magazine-StonehengeIssue 212 of Current Archaeology magazine has an interesting summary of Tim Darvill's work on the bluestone quarry in the Preseli Hills and his theory that their setting at Stonehenge reflects their geographical provenance in Wales. ODDLY, WE FOUND A "DOLMEN" IN OREGON; according to an Irish friend Shay Larkin! I have been contacting Oregon State University Archaeology Department for help; but they have never seen something like this? HELP! Contact me at [email protected] to see Oregon Dolmen photos and it appears to have a wonderful view of the winter solstice coming? |
