Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty by Gerald Ponting Moonrise on the morning of Monday June 12th 2006, 12.18 a.m..
The moon is sliding along the body of the Sleeping Beauty as it rises. Photographed from Cnoc an Tursa, immediately to the south of the Callanish Standing Stones. (A magical night, even if the moon disappeared into cloude before it set.)
