The wild summer flowers are actually ragwort, a highly poisonous weed. The poison is a cumulative liver toxin. Most animals have the sense not to eat it; the trouble comes when the stuff is in silage or hay as the vile taste of ragwort isn't as apparent then. Posted by Dan1701
