losing it in the peak district!!

Hmmm well my first weblog for the site!, no photos though, i feel theres already enough photos of the sites i visited.
Doll tor was my original 'destination' for the day, hmmm well after driving through Birchover i thought it'd be no probs to find, through the protesters camp i drove and noticing a sign stating "Stone circle" i dumped the fiesta in the makeshift layby and eagerly headed in the direction of the pathway....only to find myself off the track in the middle of some old quarry workings!!, well i like an adventure and i got one.finally emerging from the undergrowth i found myself looking at, to my suprise, the 'Nine maidens'...i couldnt settle here though, i usually like to forget about time and lose myself in the stones but here not so, maybe the constant flow of dog walkers and ramblers made it so.
With Doll Tor still in thought i headed back the way i came, jumped in the car and decided to try the other side of the moor, i located the Cork stone and climbed that big bugger!!.After more rambling aimlessly about the moor(i really oughta take notes of directions given on this site with me), with little success i was going to give the mission up as a bad idea, when standing at the car i noticed what turned out to be the Andle stone, and recalling briefly that Doll tor was rather near i headed over that way, after climbing that big chunk of rock i remembered to keep the stone to my right and head into the woods!!.
Ahhhhh now who wouldnt want this Circle all for themselves??, truly enchanting, this is a beautiful and evocative site, on private land i read, so its worth a good telling off eh!!!.The energies within this circle really were amazing, id like to return and paint them at a later date.
Rowtor rocks i found after nearly demolishing the nearby pub wall, lovely place to go with 3 litres of White lightning cider and 20 fags i thought!!, seems to be such a place i feel, after stumbling over the wooden chairs left in the caves i decided to make a run for it!!, i feel it was a popular place with victorians.I spotted Robin hoods stride from here, getting there should of been easy, hmmmm well i got there eventually, it reminded me of the Logan rock in Cornwall to be honest!.Nine stones throw easily spotted from here, no getting lost making my way to these beauties!!, even after being plastered with many coats of cow shit they still stand with might!!.Maybe the vast amout of fertiliser, natural and chemical might make em grow a bit more eh!!.
