Fieldnotes
| On a small gritstone block directly under a Silver Birch is a worn carving consisting of 2 cups each with a worn outer ring. The rings seem to overlap slightly. It's a bit tricky to find......from the 'standing stone' head due east for 0.25miles, go through the trees and over the ruined drystone wall. You should end up in a wide peat gulley.....the carving is on the western side of this gulley. |
