Tawe valley Triangle (Stone Setting) by cerrig Probably the most telling alignment of all; Corner stone, Apex stone, Maen Mawr, Cerrig Duon stone circle.
The swathe cut through the reeds is a modern addition.

Yeah, perhaps in time people may begin to cotton on what's going on around Mynydd Du and Fforest Fawr, hidden in plain sight, as it were? Guess South Wales is too uncool? Whereas if this was Wiltshire..........

This - together with the Llia stuff you've done - is a big insight for me, at least. Although trigonometry was never a strong point. I've seen the stones, hung out upon the surrounding peaks many times... so it's interesting to see how it all connects into the 'big picture'

It's all a bit too radical for most people, I guess. The geometry isn't my thing either, but it's definitely there, and this triangle couldn't really be any more blatant about that. Almost as if someone had decided to make a statement about it.

Wouldn't it be something if it was older than Stonehenge? Waun Mawn would be kicked into touch then,

Yeah, don't get me wrong... not saying I won't ever go to Waun Mawn - had the opportunity some years back but chose Bedd yr Afanc/Foel Eryr instead - but the whole 'Stonehenge thing' is, in my opinion, totally unwarranted. The easy option for people perhaps focussed upon fame/glory when there is clearly so much more lying there waiting to be discovered. GLADMAN Posted by GLADMAN

I agree, Waun Mawn is probably a red herring, but at least it gave up something to share with people who aren't normally interested, for a while anyway. They've been digging down there again so it'll be interesting to see if anything else has turned up.
I think they'd be better off in the Brecon Beacons, but I'm a bit biased.
