I always wondered about Bamburgh, now I know. Brings back memories of visits with my dad to the area visiting most of the border castles and towns. (He loved Berwick and Lindisfarne) Nice to see the sun :-) drewbhoy Posted by drewbhoy

We had a great week staying in Berwick back in April, walked the coast from Burnmouth to Seahouses. Bamburgh is very impressive, although sadly there's no mention of its Iron Age occupation at the castle itself. I enjoyed the walk around the coast of Holy Island very much, once we got away from the crowds. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat

It is indeed. Huge skies, enormous beaches, stunning. thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
