Great find and I know conservation work has priority but FOUR YEARS before we get to know? And another year before it's likely to be on public display at the British Museum. Sheesh! Posted by tomatoman

Wonder if the shield's going to be the centrepiece of some exhibition they haven't announced yet because they're planning and accumulating, hence delay. Hope so. spencer Posted by spencer
