It does look straight toward Bal Mar, doesn't It? Some pedantic arse of yore would no doubt disagree, looking at his computer simulations, but there you are. Happy wanderings......
It does, although presumably there should be a slab at that end too. Thanks for highlighting this and Graig-Ddu, well worth the visits. It took me ages to find the Graig-Ddu cairn as the bracken was so high and it was further downhill than I expected. Once I got home I'm not sure it's the same cairn as the one in your pictures, it looks as though yours might be further east judging by the angle of looking down the Vale of Ewyas.
Yeah, looking more closely at your pics I get the point... both certainly look kosher so could well be there are in fact two there. None are reported on the 1:50K after all.
They both look kosher as you say. I'm pretty sure the one I visited is the (only) one on the 1:25K and the cist slab agrees with the SMR description, so yours appears to be unrecorded, nicely found.
Edit: yours is definitely further east, I've just compared the views of Garn Wen and how it lines up against the ridge beyond with the views from mine. Will have to go back again :)
